Block DX 1.1.0 release
Block DX version 1.1.0 has been released with many improvements and new features. Full details on these updates can be seen below.

Block DX is the fastest, most secure, most reliable, most user-friendly, and most decentralized DEX. It is the first dApp powered by the Blocknet Protocol, a 2nd layer blockchain interoperability protocol that enables communication, interaction, and exchange between different blockchains. Configuration Setup
Block DX now has an updated automated configuration setup. This new setup reduces the amount of steps required to add new wallets or update already connected wallets for those that do not have a custom setup. The user simply needs to select the action they’d like to make (add, update, etc) and then select the wallet and respective version they’re using. This new setup also allows you to add and update wallets without requiring all wallets to be restarted as the previous iteration did, drastically decreasing the overhead for setup.
Performance
This release has dramatically improved memory and performance. A memory leak has been patched and data management has been made more efficient so the app uses much less resources.
Order Details
There is now an additional informational screens to provide you with order details. To view the order details screen, right-click on the order of interest and select “View Details”. This context menu also allows you to easily copy the order ID, which can be useful for experienced users.
Market Selection
The market selection screen now has a filter to show your connected assets in a separate list from the other assets on the network. This makes it easier to select a market that you are capable of trading while still being able to view all potential trading pairs on the market.
RPC Settings
The RPC settings window now includes the ability to change the IP and port of the Blocknet wallet from the UI. This is useful if you’re not running Block DX and the Blocknet wallet on the same computer.
Order Book
The maximum amount of orders in the order book has been increased from 50 orders to the top 250 orders for each side of each trade pair. This change allowing for more orders prepares us for limit order functionality.
Bug Fixes
Here is a list of various bugs that have been resolved in this update:
- When using right-click paste actions in the order form the values weren’t being captured which led to errors
- After selecting an order, when changing the order form tab between buy/sell it wouldn’t clear the order ID
- When closing the configuration window it would close the entire app
- The order book spread value had rounding errors so the way it is being calculated has been changed
- The midmarket price previously had no label so some we unsure of what that value was
- Certain assets were pulling the wrong configuration files from Github
- The market selection window was just displaying the asset ticker and not the asset name
- The market selection window column width was too small causing values to be wrapped to a new line
Looking Forward
There are many exciting milestones still ahead including additional UX improvements, localization for international use, market and limit order functionality, and integration of a lite multiwallet being developed by CloudChains Inc, which is powered by the Blocknet Protocol. View the roadmap.
