Hello Snode owners! It’s time to vote for the latest proposal!

There is a great responsibility for Service Node (Snode) owners to vote either “yes,” or “no,” on the proposals. It cannot be emphasised enough how much the community as well as the Blocknet team relies on Snodes to vote on project proposals to ensure continued funding for development of the Blocknet.

There have been recent discussions in the Blocknet community that the fee to submit a proposal to the Superblock has become too high as the price of BLOCK has risen. Since changing the fee amount will erase existing proposals, the proposal outlined below has already been submitted and it will run until block 451500 (around 10PM UTC+0 June 20). This is so that this proposal can be cleared in time so the next Superblock proposals can be submitted.

In order for one of the fee-reduction proposals to pass, votes in favor must be greater than votes against by at least 10% of the total number of Service Nodes. If both pass, the new proposal fee amount will be that of the proposal with the greater sum of yes votes minus no votes. If both pass, only a total of 100 BLOCK (not 200 BLOCK) will be used from the ecosystem fund to pay for the proposal submission fees.

There are 2 proposals submitted for Superblock 451500. Voting will close 20th June at around 10.00pm UTC+0. An introduction to Superblocks (SB) and a guide to voting can be found here.

Superblock 451500

Proposal 1: 15 BLOCK SB Fee
This proposal is to lower the proposal submission fee to 15 BLOCK.
Cost Assessment:
A fixed amount of 100 BLOCK from the Ecosystem Fund
Total: 100 BLOCK from the Ecosystem Fund

Proposal 2: 10 BLOCK SB Fee
This proposal is to lower the proposal submission fee to 10 BLOCK.
Cost Assessment:
A fixed amount of 100 BLOCK from the Ecosystem Fund
Total: 100 BLOCK from the Ecosystem Fund

How To Vote

• Open wallet and go to Tools > Debug Console. The debug console will open in a new window.
• To vote for the 15 BLOCK SB Fee, type the following command:

• To vote for the 10 BLOCK SB Fee, type the following command:

• If voting with mutliple node, you can use “mnbudget vote-many….”

If voting from the terminal, type in the following:
