Blocknet Wallet 3.14.0
After identifying issues with the existing Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm, Blocknet joined a consortium of PoS developers and projects to share our improvements on the staking protocol. This wallet release contains the staking protocol upgrade and will result in a hard fork on September 23rd at 6pm UTC +0. Updating prior to this date is required to stay on the correct chain.
Block DX 1.4.0
This Block DX release includes various user experience improvements and bug fixes, which can be viewed below.
Order Book Views
Block DX now has the ability to filter the order book to view only buy orders, only sell orders, or both buy and sell orders. This is helpful for if you are only interested in one side of the order book or have a smaller screen so you can see more at once.
“Wallet” Balance Setting
After feedback from the community, “Wallet” is being removed from the Balances panel as it has been a point of confusion for many. The “Wallet” balance is the total balance of your Blocknet wallet and is useful when using a separate Blocknet wallet for trading and want to see the balance of your main Blocknet wallet, which is where fees are paid from. If using a single Blocknet wallet, then this entry is less relevant since the “BLOCK” entry shows the available balance. The “Wallet” entry will be hidden by default, but users can change this in the settings (Menu > General Settings > Balances).
Bug Fixes
- Error Message — Users reported a “TypeError: Cannot read property ‘0’ of undefined” error popup which is now resolved.
- Price Chart — If you are not zoomed in on the Price Chart, the data will now update with new intervals as time progresses.
- BTC Pricing — If BTC market pricing is enabled, this additional data column will be hidden if you are viewing a BTC market pair.
- Scientific Notation — Scientific notation is no longer shown when order book values or the spread value are really small.
Looking Forward
There are many exciting milestones still ahead including migrating the Blocknet base chain to utilize Bitcoin’s v18 codebase, lite XRouter libraries, market and limit order functionality on Block DX, and integration of a lite multiwallet being developed by CloudChains Inc, which is powered by the Blocknet Protocol. View the roadmap.
Blocknet will continue breaking new ground as we move through 2019. Be sure to keep up with the latest developments by joining the Blocknet community on Discord and subscribing to the biweekly newsletter.
